SAS #009: Stacking Small Wins = Big Wins

read time: 1 min 15 sec

When building a habit, practice in a way that makes you want to do it again tomorrow.

Want to workout more? Exercise in a way that will make you want to do it again tomorrow.

Trying to write more? Do in a way that makes you want to do it again.

Why?

Because the most important factor in any success is consistency.

Consistency builds momentum and makes you feel good about your progress.

Over time you build the muscle of momentum and you will make progress without burning out.

When we set big goals, it's natural to feel overwhelmed by the enormity of the task at hand.

We may question if we will ever achieve our objectives or wonder whether we have bitten off more than we can chew.

This is where the concept of small wins comes in.

By celebrating small wins we set the stage for the rewards of success.

This repetitive feeling of winning makes us want to do it again.

If you string enough of these days together you will succeed.

So set small goals like meditating for 5-10 minutes, or working out for 15 minutes per day.

This can make all the difference.

After we “win” the day we’ve conditioned ourselves to feel good about making progress.

Eventually, this leads to bigger and bigger “wins.”

Focusing on achievable goals helps us avoid burnout.

And it makes us more likely to repeat the positive action again tomorrow.

Celebrating small wins is a great way to stay motivated and on track.

Acknowledging our progress, no matter how small, builds momentum and confidence.

This can help us tackle bigger challenges.

Remember, all success comes from consistency.

By committing to small, consistent actions, we move closer to our goals and achieve success in the long run.

So, start small and celebrate your victories along the way.

Before you know it, stacking those small wins will add up to a big success.
